Successful development and series production of two product families

BRUSA HyPower has announced the series launch of its latest product range. The innovative OBC7 and BSC7 product families, certified for use in the automotive sector, set new standards in electromobility.

The new products have been developed to meet the requirements of modern electric vehicles - from passenger cars and commercial vehicles to off-highway applications. They combine maximum performance with sustainability and durability.

OBC7: High-performance on-board charger

The OBC7 is BRUSA Hy Power’s latest on-board charger, which impresses with its compact design and high performance. It enables fast and efficient charging of electric vehicles such as commercial vehicles and off-highway applications and is equipped with the highest safety and communication standards. The OBC7 is suitable for 400 V and 800 V high-voltage batteries and is available in a 22 kW version. By connecting several units in parallel, the charging power can be flexibly increased and scaled to individual requirements.

BSC7: Bidirectional supply converter for maximum flexibility

The galvanically isolated device focuses on improved environmental compatibility and a longer service life to cover a wide range of applications: passenger cars, light, medium-duty, or heavy-duty trucks—the BSC7 achieves unique versatility.

  • Extremely compact and lightweight: 56 x 196 x 272 mm, <4 kg
  • For 400 V and 800 V HV-batteries
  • Galvanic isolation between HV and LV sides

BRUSA HyPower AG, based in Buchs (Swiss Canton St. Gallen), was founded in 2021 as a spin-off of BRUSA Elektronik AG, a leading supplier of power electronics in the e-mobility sector since 1985. BRUSA HyPower specializes in electrical energy conversion systems such as DC/DC converters (direct voltage converters) and onboard charging systems. The company develops power electronics products for on-highway, off-highway as well as stationary applications for its international customers.
