Combined effort for off-highway applications

BRUSA HyPower and Bosch Rexroth will intensify their collaboration to boost the development and marketing of technologies and solutions for electrically powered off-highway mobile machines. BRUSA HyPower will develop and manufacture chargers and DC/DC converters for Bosch Rexroth. The goal is to increase energy efficiency, enable emission-free use of off-highway machines in mining, construction, forestry, agriculture, logistics and municipal services.

Ming Jiang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BRUSA HyPower, says: “Our collaboration with Bosch Rexroth will enable the best use of our energy conversion technology applied to off-highway applications and achieve fast global reach to our customers.”

Thomas Donato, the Bosch Rexroth Executive Board member responsible for the mobile hydraulics and off-highway business area, says: “BRUSA HyPower is an important partner for Bosch Rexroth. BRUSA HyPower’s products are the ideal complement to our eLION portfolio of solutions for the electrification of off-highway vehicles.”

Electrification in off-highway markets

Over the past few years, the societal shift towards zero-emission mobility has created a surge in demand for highly efficient power electronics from automotive manufacturers. The boom remains unbroken, and a transition towards sustainable, locally zero-emission solutions has also been initiated in the field of off- highway mobile machines.

According to industry estimates, 30 percent of off-highway applications worldwide will be electrified by 2030. BRUSA HyPower’s CEO Dr Holger Fink says: “The ongoing electrification of on- and off-highway applications will drive the growth of BRUSA HyPower in the coming decades. Since the inception of BRUSA, electrification has been in our DNA. Our product portfolio for off-highway applications is one of our key mainstays. Customers in this segment trust BRUSA HyPower’s technical solutions with superior energy conversion efficiency, high performance and quality.”

Technology leader for power electronic components
